Orientation for students studying in Launceston will in about 2 weeks time.
For those arriving, I hope you all have got ready your accommodation and preparation. Some of you might be still looking for accommodation but no worries, when you arrive, you can either look for Ginni at Student Centre, or visit Domain website for a list of rental houses/apartments. Please look into postal code 7248 for Alanvale, Mowbray, Newnham and Inveresk. Parts of Alanvale will be further away. That will be the nearest for Newnham and Inveresk Campus. You can also look at newspaper for rental listing when you arrive too.
We had also created a Launceston Guide on Google Maps and hope it will help you understand better where are the important location you need to know, such as bank, supermarket, campus bus-stop locations etc. We will continue to update as much as we can. Below is the print screen from Google Maps.
There will also be changes to SSA. Anyone who wants to be part of the SSA, regardless you are new or current students, we welcome you to help us make SSA stronger to help fellow students, not just international students.
