Move night reviewed

We had a great movie night last friday with approximately 33 people turning up for the event. SSA will like to thank all that had turned up and to the kind gold coin donators. You guys have been an amazing bunch of people and I hope that you enjoyed the pizzas and movie. We would also like to welcome the 5 new members on board.

Just a quick email to say "thank you" for a great evening on Friday. the movie was really good as it highlighted some aspects of Asian family life which I had recently covered in my Asian studies lectures. Outstanding Physical Education teacher Award (Primary)

Congratulations to Ang Swee Chong for winning the "Outstanding Physical Education Teacher Award (Primary)" in Singapore. SSA shares his joy with you in your award. :)



The Singapore Physical Education Association conducts a bi-annual
award to recognise the outstanding contributions teachers of Physical
Education have made to the development and promotion of PE in Singapore.
It aims to inject greater interest in the subject and encourage and
motivate PE teachers to raise their level of professional practice.

Swee chong teaches at Elias Park Primary School in Singapore and is currently pursuing his Masters of Education in the University of Tasmania. He can be contacted at scang@postoffice.utas.edu.au

SSA 1st Movie Night of 2008

Hi all!! SSA is organising the 1st Movie Night for this semester.

Featuring...
Our very own home grown romantic musical comedy FOREVER FEVER written and directed by Glen Goei. SSA will be presenting mostly home grown movies which we felt it is a good way to support our local film makers.

Come join us on FRIDAY the 18th April!!! 6.30pm for FOOD!!!! about 7.15pm when the movie starts. CALL YOUR FRIENDS ALONG!!
